Sticking my toe rather gingerly back into these blogging waters following our move, may I offer for your edification a learned and challenging article by Father John Erickson of St. Vladimir's. It goes well beyond the narrow question of a single conciliar canon, opening up important insights into the problem of primacy. It is especially helpful, I think, to understand that we should really be talking about "primacies" rather than "primacy."
This is an important point, though not an easy one to boil down into the kind of slogan that too many apologists seem to prefer!
